Much has been written about the rise and decline of western civilization in many languages. In this article, I have attempted to examine and evaluate some arguments and debates around this topic. My objective in this writing is to examine Western civilisation's rising and declining trends and trajectories from religious and ethical perspectives. I have examined Western civilisation's predictable and foreseeable decline from an Islamic perspective. The Holy Qur'an speaks about the rising and declining of previous civilizations in human history and I have attempted here to examine the decline of the civilization from an Islamic perspective in the light of the Qur'anic teaching. I have tried my best to be objective in my writing on this topic. Human ideas and perceptions differ from person to person and yet, the divine guidelines and instructions are historical divine verdicts on the trajectories of human civilizations. Therefore, I have frequently referred to the divine texts of the Holy Qur'an to measure the rise and decline of human civilizations. More importantly, I have used the divine texts of the Holy Qur'an to gauge the declining pattern of the materialistic western civilization. Because the holy Qur'an is not merely a historical book rather it is a historical verdict about the fate and destinations of humanity. Precarious events and incidents that take place around the world today pose an existential threat to humanity. Modern human civilization is inspired, influenced, and created primarily by western ideas, ideals, and perceptions. The destructive and detrimental ideas and ideals of the modern western civilization have penetrated the household of each community in the world. No one can belittle all those positive contributions of western civilization to human development in the last three hundred years and yet, the negative and detrimental dimensions of western civilization have already posed an existential threat to the human family. Modern man has taken humanity into this precarious condition and God has already predicted this in the Holy Qur'an. ' Corruption has flourished on land and sea as a result of people's actions, and He will make them taste the consequences of some other their actions. So that they may turn back. ' Modern man has already started to taste the consequences of his wrong actions towards his environment, ecology, and humanity learn more on SSRN
