Climate change has a profound impact on regional sustainable development, especially in the context of global warming, and its negative effects are more significant. This paper investigates the relationship between climate change and regional sustainable development by empirically analyzing data from 1980'2020 for 186 countries around the world. Decreasing temperatures contribute to regional sustainable development, while increasing temperatures have negative effects. Developing countries benefit more from low temperatures, while developed countries face greater challenges under high temperatures. Based on the findings of the study, this paper recommends that developed countries should enhance urban green cover and cope with hot weather, while developing countries should implement strict environmental regulations and improve energy use efficiency. Coordinated development and international cooperation on a global scale are essential to combat climate change and achieve sustainable development goals.
