Corporate sustainability may have fallen out of favor in some executive and political circles, but the business case remains strong: Companies continue to invest because sustainability initiatives can deliver measurable gains in profitability, resilience, and growth. Drawing on research from NYU Stern's Center for Sustainable Business and other recent studies, the article shows how four areas in particular'circularity, decarbonization, sustainable sourcing, and employee well-being'can lower costs, reduce risk, strengthen supply chains, improve productivity, and create new revenue opportunities.
