I may circle back to the Hungarian election to write something later this week about Viktor Orban's loss in Sunday's vote. But for now I'll just make two brief points that are really one point aimed in opposite directions. 1. To Orban supporters: Democratic politics involves winning, losing, and then coming back to fight again. That's perfectly normal, so please chill out. 2. To centrist liberals: Orban's loss is good news, but don't over-read the results. Right-populism isn't on the way out. It's the right-leaning opposition now. I've been thinking a lot about the recent big debate at The Bulwark about whether Democratic candidates for office should associate with leftist Twitch and YouTube streamer Hasan Piker.
