The Fargo Film Festival is now accepting entries for 2026 on FilmFreeway. With the exception of 2-Minute Movie Contest entries, films selected for the 2026 Fargo Film Festival must be provided in approved DCP format for exhibition. The festival also introduces a new category Northern Plains Voices, open to fiction and nonfiction films of any genre and any duration directed and/or produced by a current or former resident of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, or Indigenous Nations sharing that geography.
