This movie left me a little blue
The film Bleu, one of three "couleur" films (Bleu, Rouge, Blanc) in the triology by Krzysztof Kieslowski, is a breathtaking portrait of a life shattered by grief. In all three films, Kieslowski uses light and color, coupled by moving music by the legendary Zbigniew Preisner, to convey feeling. The films are multilayered works of art. Rouge is also extraordinary, and the three are connected. Watching them several times each reveals new layers that were unseen before. What beauty!
