The primary purpose of Genova Film Festival is to promote young and indipendent cinema, national and international. Genova Film Festival is one of the most appreciated Film Festival in Italy. In its showing it has several sections reserved to Italian and International Cinema. More than 1.000 films have been shown in the previous ten years; almost 5.000 films have been sent for sections reserved to Italian short films and documentaries competitions. These are some of the retrospectives of 11th Genova Film Festival: New Albanian Cinema Exhibition, New German Animation Cinema Exhibition, homage to Vittorio Gassman and Dino Risi. 11° Genova Film Festival will take place in Genoa from the 30th of June to the 6th of July 2008.
